AP ECET – Andhra Pradesh Engineering Common Entrance Test

AP ECETAndhra Pradesh Engineering Common Entrance Test (AP ECET 2017) is conducted by the Jawaharlal Nehru Technological University Anantapur on behalf of the Andhra Pradesh State Council of Higher Education. JNTU Anantpur conducts AP ECET for diploma holders and B.Sc (Mathematics) degree holders. AP ECET 2017 Application Form

Candidates looking for the AP ECET 2017 application form are informed that they can fill and submit the application form through online mode only. The online application will be commenced from last week of February, 2017 tentatively. Registration fee can be paid through AP online services or through credit card/debit card or net banking. No offline mode will be there for the payment of application fee. Candidates are required to pay Rs. 400/- against the application form.

Eligibility Criteria

The candidates who are fulfilling the following eligibility conditions in respect to nationality and qualification can appear the AP ECET 2017:

Nationality:

  • Candidate must be the Indian citizen.
  • Must belong to the Andhra Pradesh state and satisfy the local/non local status.

Qualification Eligibility:

  • For admission to B.Tech/B.E./B. Pharmacy courses, one should have Diploma in Engineering and Technology/ Pharmacy recognized by the government of Andhra Pradesh.
    OR
  • One should have passed 3-year B.Sc Degree with Mathematics from a recognized University of state or its equivalent.
  • Candidates who are appearing diploma course are also eligible for admission to B.E./B.Tech/B.Pharmacy courses provided they have completed prescribed practical training before admission.
  • Minimum marks required in Diploma in Engineering and Technology/ Pharmacy/ B.Sc Degree is 45% marks for unreserved category and 40% for reserved category candidates.

AP ECET Exam Pattern

The exam pattern of AP ECET is of 200 marks consisting of 200 objective type questions. The marks distribution stream-wise is given below:

For Engineering Stream:

It is the 3 hours duration examination. The timings of the test will be 11:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. One mark is assigned to every question.

Qualifying Marks in AP ECET 2017

Candidates who have scored 25% aggregate marks in four subjects (three subjects for B.Sc. Mathematics) will be eligible for obtaining a rank (i.e. 50 marks out of 200 marks). There is no minimum qualifying marks for SC/ST candidates.

Exam Centres

AP ECET 2017 is scheduled to be conducted in the following regional centres:

Anantapur, Kakinada, Vijayawada (all branches of Engineering, B.Sc.(Mathematics) and Pharmacy), Tirupati and Visakhapatnam (Civil, Mechanical, EEE, ECE, CSE, EIE, Chemical Engineering and B.Sc.(Mathematics), Guntur and Vizianagaram (Civil, Mechanical, EEE, ECE, CSE and B.Sc.(Mathematics).

AP ECET 2017 Hall Ticket

AP ECET 2017 hall ticket downloading will start from last week of April, 2017. Candidates who have successfully submitted their application form can download their hall ticket from the official portal of AP ECET 2017. Hall ticket is the mandatory document required at the time of examination, keep it safe until the admission process gets over.

AP ECET 2018

AP ECET 2018 (Andhra Pradesh Engineering Common Entrance Test) will be managed by the Jawaharlal Nehru Technological University, Anantapur on behalf of APSCHE. It is a state level examination organized for admission to the 2nd BE/B.Tech & B.Pharmacy course. The application form will be available from the 3rd week of February 2018.

AP ECET 2017 Result

The authority will announce the AP ECET result 2017 through its official portal. Rank will be prepared as per the candidate marks in entrance examination. After the declaration of result, candidates can download the rank cards from the official website.
